When Splitwise is the better choice
- Your group already uses it. That is the strongest reason of all, and no feature list beats it: an expense-splitting app only works if everyone uses it.
- You have years of history there and do not want to migrate it.
- You need specific payment integrations that already work for your country or your group.
When Splitwo will serve you better
- You are organising a trip and do not want to ask five people to install an app and sign up. With a guest link they are simply in.
- You would rather pay once and forget it. Lifetime Premium exists precisely for people who do not want another monthly subscription.
- You split expenses across currencies and want the conversion done for you, not in a separate spreadsheet.
- You care that balances do not lie: delete an expense someone already paid for and Splitwo keeps that payment and warns you, instead of quietly leaving the balance wrong.

- Can I migrate my data from Splitwise to Splitwo?
- There is no automatic import yet. What you can do is settle your outstanding balances in the previous app and start new groups in Splitwo, which is how most people move over.
- Is Splitwo free?
- The free plan is free forever and never asks for a card: up to 3 active groups, even or custom splits, real-time balances and the quick split calculator. Premium unlocks unlimited groups and history, export, receipts, automatic reminders and currency conversion.
- Do my friends have to download the app?
- No. You can invite them with a link and they take part as guests without installing anything or creating an account. It is the difference you notice most when organising a trip.
- Is there a web version?
- Yes, Splitwo runs in the browser as well as on iPhone and Android, with the same account everywhere.
