Is Splitwo really free?
Yes. The free plan is free forever and never asks for a credit card. It includes up to 3 active groups, equal or custom splits, real-time balances and the quick split calculator. Premium is completely optional.
Do my friends need to download the app to join my group?
No. You can invite them with a link and they join without downloading anything, so it is easy to start splitting with the whole group.
Does Splitwo process or transfer money between us?
No. Splitwo records and organizes who owes what, but it does not move money. You settle payments directly between yourselves, outside the app, however you prefer.
What does Premium include and how much does it cost?
Premium unlocks unlimited groups and history, up to 500 members per group, detailed statistics, export to CSV and PDF, automatic reminders, receipt photos, currency conversion and trip mode. It costs $1.29/month, $11.99/year or $19.99 lifetime (one-time).
How do I cancel Premium or request a refund?
You can cancel the monthly or yearly subscription anytime from Preferences → Manage subscription (Stripe portal); you keep access until the end of the period already paid. For the lifetime plan we offer a full refund within the first 14 days.
How do I delete my account and my data?
In the app go to Profile → Edit profile → Delete account; deletion is immediate. If you cannot access the app, email us at hola@splitwo.com and we will do it for you.
Is my data and are my payments secure?
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe (PCI DSS standard) and your card details never pass through our servers. We only store what is needed for the app to work.
What devices does Splitwo work on?
The web version is available right now in any browser. The iOS and Android apps are coming very soon.
